I’m more concerned with what awaits me than what I’m waiting for. I share a poem by David Whyte that expresses how I responded when I read today’s question. For me, waiting is to be open-minded and willing for whatever life is offering me in this moment, this day. This is the last house we ever plan to live in and my first kitchen remodel. ![]() I’m waiting for a general contractor to give us a quote on the cost of a kitchen remodel that we hoped to start on a year ago. Some is “waiting” in the sense of continuing to take my own actions and work toward a future payoff so I’m not really waiting. Some of what’s on my list is waiting for others to take action.
